Hotline’s sire, Quadrillo unfortunately died at quite a young age but his progeny appear to be representing him extremely well. Quadrillo was by the world-renowned stallion Quidam de Revel, who is consistently in the top of the World Rankings, himself competed at the World Games in Aachen, and his sons Nabab de Reve and Guidam have represented him well as sport horses as well as breeding stallions. On the dam side of Quadrillo comes Tin Rocco, who won ten conformation tests as a three year old and competed at Grand Prix level.
Hotline’s dam is by one of the best sport sires of all time, Darco, who has no less than 40 registered progeny in the Breeding Guide for International showjumping horses. As a sport horse, he has been placed in both the World Equestrian Games and the Olympic Games under Ludo Philippaerts. His grand-dam is a product of Sheyenne de Baugy, who has sired a number of international horses including Grand Prix dressage horses, and features prominently in many pedigrees of horses that have been imported to South Africa.
