The consistent production of top quality offspring has made Kronos’s sire, Darco one of the best sport sires of all time, having no less than 40 registered progeny in the Breeding Guide for International showjumping horses. As a sport horse, he has been placed in both the World Equestrian Games and the Olympic Games under Ludo Philippaerts.
Kronos’s damline comes from the very good Holstein line no.162, and his dam has produced a winner of the Belgian Trophy for Young Horses in 2009 as well as a placing in the final of the free-jumping competition at Mechelen in 2008.
Like his full brother, Homerus van het Poeleind, Kronos won the free-jumping competition for imported 3 year olds at President’s Cup in 2013. He has begun his production under saddle and is a highly anticipated jumping prospect for the future.
