Ulior is a son of Sheyenne de Baugy who has sired a number of international horses including Grand Prix dressage horses, and features prominently in many pedigrees of horses that have been imported to South Africa. Sheyenne’s dam is the full sister to the approved stallion Uriel and to Quidam de Revel’s dam, Dirka. The French ‘Chef de race’, Grand Veneur, is the sire of Sheyenne de Baugy and has produced more than 320 successful showjumpers and greater than 100 approved sons such as, Le Tot de Semilly, Sioux de Baugy and Major de la Cour.

Besides Ulior, his mother Raguna Z produced international showjumpers, Aurelius Z and Mamadou v/d Helle.  Ulior’s full sister, Nouchaka v/d Helle produced a Grand Prix dressage winner and Olympic horse, and his grand-dam produced Michel Robert’s Grand Prix showjumper, Auroa Z.


Ulior was successful and impressive in the 1.45m classes with Bruce Dewar before his untimely death.
